Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our Toronto team. This entry-level position will involve assisting with social media, search-engine optimization, and email marketing for both Data Made Human and our clients. The role will also support our office manager with general administrative tasks. This is an entry-level position that provides an opportunity to work alongside a group of talented digital marketers with regional and national clients.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media – working on strategies to drive value for our clients. Optimizing and working through existing and new content, supervision and optimization of media. Supporting community management and messaging.
  • Content – researching and creating content that can drive results through tools that will help brands connect with consumers. Content distribution via social media, email marketing, blogs and other channels as part of this responsibility.
  • eMarketing – CRM and email platforms support via content and strategies to help clients drive engagement with their marketing platforms.
  • Analytics & Implementation – supervision and reporting on native platforms like Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, etc., pulling reports as part of weekly office hours and monthly & quarterly reconciliation. Supporting implementation team with basic digital marketing tasks (creating backlinks, running reports on sites, updating blogs, etc.).
  • DMH-owned channel hygiene – this role will support the B2B effort of DMH. Owning and managing owned content & distribution of this on owned channels – e.g. website, social, etc.
  • General administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics & Facebook Business Manager.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles & practices.
  • General technical proficiency with popular online platforms, including but not limited to: Google Slides, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with social media and community management (e.g. setting up business pages, promoting posts, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Highly organized and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
